[1] Monument to Judge Toulmin dedicated today in Baldwin County. He was also president of Transylvania University (where I attended as a Freshman)  1794-96. In 1804 he was appointed by President Thomas Jefferson as judge for a territory that included what is now Baldwin County, Alabama, where my daughter lives.
